Hi Lori, Did you know the pelican has also been used as a Christian symbol for centuries? The legend is that a pelican will pierce her side in order to feed her chicks when food is unavailable. She's often shown on her nest in heraldry, drops of blood coming from her breast.
Great podcast, Lori. You have a lovely voice for this type of thing. So many folks when they speak sound monotonous. Not you, your voice is pleasant and zeroes the listener in to what you are saying.
Speaking of Pelicans. I remember when I was living in Northern California watching the pelicans by the hour. They are such clowns, so much fun to watch.
